This type of barberry grows in the mountains. Barberry is a car that is found in mountainous, forested and humid areas of the north and has a bright red color. Due to being a car, the amount of harvest depends on the weather conditions and the amount of rain and heat each year. Its organic nature makes it have a better color, taste and aroma, but at the same time it has a more limited harvest and supply. For this reason, it is scarce in the domestic market of Iran and is usually considered for export. Barberry is also used dried for food and fresh for dehydration. Its seeds are smaller and its color is redder than other types of barberry.
